Butwal Power Company employees have obstructed upgradation work being carried out at the Andhikhola hydro project in Galyang, Syangja.
Members of the employees union obstructed upgradation work from Monday accusing Butwal Power of slashing company perks and benefits.
Himal Hydropower and a Chinese firm had recently started work on upgrading the 5.1 MW project’s installed capacity to 9.4 MW.
Giridhari Bhandari of the employee’s union told Radio Nepal that the protest will continue until the union’s demands are met.
