Kathmandu: The central electricity transmission line has been extended to Deurali in Bulingtar Rural Municipality-4 of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East), which falls under the service area of the Nepal Electricity Authority’s Kawasoti Distribution Centre. With the expansion of electricity from the national grid, local residents have started receiving regular power supply.
The Authority has installed new electricity meters in 90 households in the area and began regular electricity supply from June 28, 2026.
With this development, local residents who had long been deprived of central electricity services will now have access to regular power supply. The expansion of electricity service is expected to not only make daily life easier for the locals but also have a positive impact on education, healthcare, information technology, and the operation of small businesses and enterprises.
The Kawasoti Distribution Centre stated that it is continuing its campaign to expand electricity access within its service area and is prioritising the extension of central electricity services to remote settlements as well.
