KATHMANDU, May 20:
Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has cancelled power purchase agreements of nine hydel projects.
They were cancelled saying they did not submit progress report and did not start construction process.
NEA Business Division Chief Hitendra Dev Shakya said the projects are 10 MW Langtang of Kantipur Hydro Power, Gtech Nepal´s Upper Modi, Ladkukhola of Universal Power, Daram Khola of Gorkha Hydro, Lower Nyadi of Baverian Hydro, Golma Gadha of Mansarobar Powers, Seti Khola of Shrirup Hydro , Middle Gaddigad of Triyog Energy and Upper Jumdi of Rhishikesh Hydro. The total capacity was 40 MW.
The largest was Upper Modi 14 MW.
