NEA seeks trashrack cleaner for Nepal’s 15-MW Gandak HEP

    Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) seeks bids for a trashrack cleaning machine for the 15-MW Gandak hydroelectric project in Nepal. Bids are due November 30.

    Work on Gandak is funded by an Asian Development Bank US$65 million loan to Nepal for an Energy Access and Efficiency Improvement Project. NEA took bids in January for equipment to modernize Gandak and the 69-MW Marsyangdi hydroelectric project as part of a program to upgrade hydropower, transmission, distribution, and other renewable energy in the mountain nation.

    The authority currently seeks design, fabrication, supply, and installation of a trashrack cleaning machine for Gandak, tender No. GPS-2066/067-1.

    Bid documents in English may be obtained from GM Office, Generation, Nepal Electricity Authority, Durbarmarg, Kathmandu, Nepal for 4,000 rupees (US$57) by bank voucher to GM Office, Generation, Current Account No. 610162 at Nepal Rastra Bank, Thapathali, or bank draft in favor of the project.
