
Kathmandu: The construction of the Kohalpur-Surkhet-Jumla 132 kV transmission line in Karnali Province for regular electricity supply is set to be completed within two years.
While presenting the budget for the fiscal year 2024/2025 at the joint session of the Federal Parliament on Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel stated that the construction of the transmission line would be completed within two years.
He stated that additional cross-border transmission lines would be constructed based on the potential for energy export. Minister Poudel mentioned that Rs. 13.18 billion has been allocated for the expansion of transmission lines and distribution projects.
