Sharp Rise in Trishuli Water Level Causes Damage to Transmission Line Station

The flood has caused erosion in areas including Pairebensi, Betrabati, Trishuli, and Devighat in Nuwakot, and the administration has urged people to remain safe.

Trishuli — Since Wednesday morning, severe flooding has occurred in Bhote Koshi. Due to the flood, the water level of the Trishuli River has risen sharply. The local administrations of Rasuwa and Nuwakot have urged the residents living in the riverbank areas to remain alert.

According to Krishna Prasad Humagai, Assistant Chief District Officer of Nuwakot, the flood has caused erosion in areas such as Pairebensi, Betravati, Trishuli, and Devighat in the district. Since the flood may also enter inhabited areas, the administration has urged people to stay safe.

Personnel from Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force have been conducting ‘miking’ to urge family members living near the river to stay in safe locations. The flood has caused damage to the ‘Trishuli-Kathmandu Transmission Line’ station located in Kispang Rural Municipality-5 of Nuwakot.
