Renewal Energy Exhibition from January 1

    KATHMANDU: In a bid to promote Renewal Energy Technologies in Nepal and battle the energy crisis being faced by the citizens, Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC) under the Ministry of Population and Environment is organising ‘Renewal Energy Exhibition 2016’ from January 1-3 in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.

    The expo is going to be organised under the slogan, “Renewal Energy for Energy Security” with an objective to raise awareness about renewal energy among the general public as an effective alternative to address the present energy crisis.

    The expo would also impart information on the government’s initiative, to provide subsidy and soft loan for urban solar, waste to energy programme and household gasification technology, to the visitors.

    A total of 125 stalls related to renewal energy technologies like hydropower, solar energy, biogas, wind energy, improved cooking stove and renewal energy related projects done by the students would be put on display in the expo.

    Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to inaugurate the event amidst a function on January 1 at 1:00 pm.

    The organiser has managed free entrance for the visitors.
