Independent Power Producers’ Association, Nepal (IPPAN) together with International Finance Corporation (IFC) is going to organize its fourth residential workshop on topic ‘River Basin Planning and Cascade Operating Agreement’on 28-29 July, 2016 at Club Himalaya, Nagarkot.
The objective of this workshop is to manage the impact of upstream projects to the downstream projects if they are not properly coordinated right from the design phase to the operation phase. This workshop is intended to develop an integrated water resources development planning system, river modeling, cascade case study, water balance (water sector wide) and joint operation (HPPs) modeling, example of cascade operation agreements and Potential changes to licensing regime to integrate river basin planning assumptions.
The course will utilize resource persons with wide experience on international hydropower industry and development as well as local experts. The seats are limited and only confirmed selected participants will be allowed to attend the seminar. Hence, you are requested to register your nomination who are responsible under River Basin Planning and Cascade Operating Agreement by 5 July, 2016. Seminar Fee: The participation fee for this 1½ day residential course is NRs. 9,000 for IPPAN members and 13,000 for non-IPPAN members. The fee should be transferred to IPPAN as per instruction given when selections will be made.
