A power purchase agreement (PPA) has been signed between power developer of Blue Energy (P.) Ltd. and Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
The Super Trishuli Project (100MW) is run-off river type hydro project. Main project components are 97m long, 24.5m high barrage with surface powerhouse at the toe of the barrage with short tailrace channel, switch yard with GIS and about 18km long 220kV double circuit transmission line to New Markichauk substation of Nepal Electricity Authority. The gross head is 21m and design discharge to be used is 665.76m3/sec. The energy to be produced is 498.432 million units per year. Three horizontal bulb type turbines are proposed to produce 100.00MW.
