KATHMANDU: The Sunkosi-III Hydel Project Concerned Committee and locals have called for starting the feasibility study of the Sunkosi-II and the Sunkosi- III hydroelectricity projects as soon as possible.
At an interaction programme here today, locals urged the bodies concerned to immediately carry out the feasibility study of the 536- MW Sunkosi-III and the 1110-MW Sunkosi-II hydel projects to be constructed in Kavre, Ramechhap, Sindhupalchok and Sindhuli districts.
The Department of Electricity Development under the Ministry of Energy had taken the responsibility of conducting the feasibility study of both the projects. The study was to be carried out at a cost of 26 million US Dollars provided by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of Nepal.
