Energy min ensures load shedding won’t exceed 12 hrs

    Uma_Kant_JhaMinister for Energy Umakanta Jha has said this winter will not see load shedding hours more than 12 hours in a day.

    Talking to media persons at Bharatpur Wednesday, the Energy Minister said the country witnessed 15-hour power outage in a day last year. But, this time it will be limited to 12 hours in a day.

    He was here in course of inspecting the Narayani river embankment.

    He further said preparations are on to import 200 megawatt of electricity from India and it will help reduce the duration of load-shedding hours.

    The government is serious about a long-term resolution of the problem of power outage in the country, he added.
