The works in the 50 megawatt hydropower project resumed today following an agreement reached among the political parties, administration and project management to resume the construction works.

Despite the efforts of the district administration and management committee to bring the disgruntled workers for talks, the agitating workers had been refusing to sit for talks unless their demands were fully addressed.

The project management has shown flexibility over some of the demands put forth by the workers including construction of motorway from power house to the dam area, ambulance facilities, and facility of insurance to the workers of the project, among others.
