KATHMANDU: The Cabinet today decided to go ahead with the agreement to receive Rs 2.82 billion from the Saudi Fund for construction of Budhi Gandaki Hydropower Project.
The government also accepted donation of Rs 73 crore from German Development Bank for Solar Energy Promotion Project.
The government has extended the term of member of the Public Procurement Review Committee Ashok Nath Uprety for the next
two years.
The Cabinet decided to appoint Baburam Acharya as the PM’s administrative adviser, Sridhar Kumar Pokhrel as chairman of the Hetauda Cement Factory, Bimal Karki as chairman of the Udayapur Cement Factory, Dayal Bahadur Shahi as chairman of Industrial Districts Management Limited, and Jagannath Nepal as chairman of Cottage Industry Development Committee for the two years term.
Lama Tendi Sherpa, Surendra Hamal and Sakuntala Nagarkoti have been appointed members of National Sports Council under the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Prenita Upadhyay has been appointed Executive Director of National Information Technology Centre under the Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology, Kul Chandra Wagle has been appointed chairman of Rastriya Samachar Samiti, and Ramesh Tufan as chairman of Gorkhapatra Corporation.
