Better security sought for transmission lines

    energy-transmissionKATHMANDU: The parliamentary Committee on Agriculture and Water Resources sought better security arrangements for electricity transmission lines.

    The Energy Sub-Committee of the Committee discussed the issue with high security officials on Wednesday.

    Lawmaker Gyanendra Bahadur Karki-headed Sub-panel held a meeting with Acting Defence Secretary Devendra Sitaula, Nepal Police IG Upendra Kanta Aryal, Armed Police Force AIG Jeevan Thapa, Nepal Army Lieutenant General Pawan Bahadur Pande, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Executive Director Mukesh Kafle and high officials of the Ministry of Energy.

    Committee Chairperson Gagan Thapa was also present on the occasion.
