Nepal Tunnelling Association (NTA) is organizing 5th Nepal Tunnelling Conference 2019 on 20thDecember 2019 with theme of “Knowledge Sharing on Tunnel Design, Construction and Safety”.The main aim is to gather all tunnel professionals and share experiences for development of Nepal through systematic tunnelling practices.

Constructing tunnels and caverns in the tectonically active Himalayas is full of challenges and uncertainties.Therefore, sharing experiences and knowledge from different underground projects isvery important for the development of Hydro and Transport Tunnels in the Nepal Himalaya.

This Conference is a great opportunityto share project experiences in Nepal regarding site investigations, design, construction techniques, instrumentation, monitoring and contractual practices, previousanalysis of critical problems, alternative design, construction techniques and recent developments of tunnelling industry.

NTA looking forward to organize this Conference where we can collaboratively look at advancing tunnellingand underground usage and technology.Your participation, presentation of papers and case histories will contribute significantly to the success of this Conference.
