NEA Announces Scheduled Power Cuts in Multiple Kathmandu Areas Today

Kathmandu: The Nepal Electricity Authority has announced power outages in various parts of Kathmandu today. Issuing a public notice, the Authority stated that electricity will be disrupted in the Sinamangal Chowk and Tilganga areas, which fall under the Baneshwor Distribution Center.

According to the Authority, the 11 kV transmission line will be shut down to properly manage and repair a leaning pole located in front of Tilganga Eye Hospital.

Power supply will be cut from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM in Tilganga, Prakash Sanyas Ashram, Sambhu Marg, Gaushala, and the airport vicinity. Similarly, electricity will be disrupted from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM in all areas under Tinkune, Gairigaun, Sinamangal, and the airport area.

The Authority has apologized for the inconvenience caused to customers due to the power outage.

Likewise, power cuts will also take place in various locations under the Maharajgunj Distribution Center. As part of the Distribution System Undergrounding Project for the central and northern areas of the Kathmandu Valley, electricity will be disrupted today from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM to complete the ongoing underground works.

According to the Authority, power will be cut from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in Baluwatar, Shivapuri School, Pandol Marg, and areas surrounding the Prime Minister’s Residence.

Similarly, electricity will also be disrupted in Hepali Height, Chyasingdol, Deurali Janata, Bhagwati Temple, and Dhapasi areas.

Likewise, the Authority stated that power supply will be cut from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM in Banshidhar Marg, Chandal, Bishalnagar, Central Apartment, and the Tundal Devi Temple areas.
