DAMAULI: Minister for Engery, Water Resources and Irrigation Top Bahadur Rayajajhi today carried out a field inspection of the under-construction Tanahun Hydropower Project at Rishing Rural Municipality-1 in Tanahun district.
On the occasion, the project managing director Pradip Thike and the project chief Achyut Ghimire apprised minister Rayamajhi of the progress and activities of the project.
Minister Rayamajhi was accompanied by Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning of Gandaki Province, National Assembly member Bhagawati Neupane and Krishna Kumar Shrestha, member of the dissolved House of Representatives.
After completion of the project, it would generate 178.9 megawatts of electricity during dry season and 323.68 megawatts during rainy season.
A total estimate cost of the project is USD $505 million.
