
Kathmandu — Investment has been secured for the 5.5-megawatt capacity Mid-Tandi Hydropower Project, which is under construction on the Tandi Khola in Nuwakot. The total estimated cost of the project, promoted by Dupcheshwar Mahadev Hydro Company, is NPR 1.10 billion.
Out of the total, Prabhu Bank will invest NPR 714.4 million. At the investment agreement event held in Kathmandu, Project Chief Dipesh Pokharel signed the agreement on behalf of the project in the presence of Project Chairman Anil Joshi and Prabhu Bank’s Chief Executive Officer Ashok Sherchan.
According to the agreement, Prabhu Bank will hold a 65 percent investment stake in the project, while the construction company will contribute the remaining 35 percent. The construction work has already begun, according to the company’s technical advisor, Engineer Saroj Khanal. The company aims to complete the project within 15 months.
