Kathmandu — Hitendra Dev Shakya, Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority, has reached Bharatpur to understand the electricity supply problem. On Monday, a team including Managing Director Shakya and Deputy Managing Director of the Distribution and Consumer Services Directorate, Dirghayu Kumar Shrestha, arrived in Chitwan.
The Chanauli Distribution Center in Chitwan had published a load management schedule for one day in order to carry out essential maintenance work for internal load management. The Nepal Electricity Authority stated that this created confusion among the general consumers.
“To resolve the issues caused by excessive load in the area, maintenance and construction work on electrical infrastructure being carried out from the Bharatpur substation and other distribution centers will be inspected and monitored,” the statement issued by the Authority mentioned.
