KATHMANDU, May 19:
The government has given production license to the Theuli Khola Hydel Project.
The license was given to the project to be constructed by Barahi Hydro Power recently. The project located at Binamare of Kusmi of Kaski district will cost Rs. 240 million.
The 1.5 mw capacity project promoter has been told to submit the environmental impact assessment (EIA), make financial arrangement and start works within one year, said Information Officer of the Department of Electricity Department Gokarnaraj Pantha.
The power produced by the project will be linked to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) substation at Baidam of Kaski. The government has urged the promoters to immediately start work and to complete projects which are under construction.
