During the budget speech of the Fiscal Year 2077/78, the Finance Minister Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada said that free consumption has been provided to the consumers consuming up to 10 units per month.
In his budget speech, he said, “Those who consume up to 10 units per month will be given free, those who consume up to 150 units will be given 25 percent and those who consume up to 250 units will be given 15 percent tariff.”
The Drinking Water and Irrigation Consumers Committee has made arrangements for the reduction of electricity tariff and concession in electricity tariff. Similarly, provision has been made for the affected manufacturing industries to waive the demand fee for electricity during the lockdown period and to provide 50 percent discount on electricity consumption when the demand is low.
