Energy Minister Shrestha Reaches Trishuli, Holds Talks with Home Minister on Rescue Operations

Kathmandu: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has reached Trishuli in Nuwakot.

Minister Shrestha, who reached in Nuwakot to inspect flood-affected hydropower projects and receive updates on rescue operations, has begun discussions with Home Minister Sudhan Gurung at the military training centre in Trishuli.

Home Minister Gurung has been coordinating rescue efforts from the military training centre.

Senior Nepal Army officials involved in the rescue operation inside the tunnel of a hydropower project briefed Minister Shrestha on the latest progress.

Prime Minister’s Political Adviser Asim Shah has also reached in Nuwakot along with Minister Shrestha.

Following the briefing, Minister Shrestha is scheduled to travel by helicopter to the rescue site of the hydropower project in Rasuwa to inspect the ongoing operation and hold discussions with the families of the victims.
