Sep 16, 2017-Electricity in half of Nuwakot and Rasuwa districts has been disrupted for the past three days after electric feeder exploded when rats entered into the fuse of the power house.
Chief at Nuwakot distribution center Ashok Pandit said the rodents entered into number three feeder of main circuit breaker in fuse department of Trishuli powerhouse and caused the explosion.
Power supply through feeders 1, 2 and 4 has been disrupted following the explosion.
Some 40 technicians are working to resume power to the districts.
Electricity has been disrupted in Nuwakot Durbar, Chogate, Bageshwori, Dhikure, Tupche, Kaule, among others. Mobile network in the area is also on the verge of breaking down after problems in the inverters of telecom service providers.
