The Supplementary Power Purchase Agreement signed between NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) and Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) on August 28, 2017 which was about to be expired from October end, 2017 has been extended today on October 27, 2017 for the period up to December 31, 2017 with the same terms and conditions as before including the rate of IRS 3.60 per unit. It will pave the way for Nepal to continue power drawl up to 160 MW through Dhalkebar-Mujaffarpur Transmission Line at 132 kV voltage level. The Agreement has been signed by Mr. Kul Man Ghising, MD, on behalf of NEA and Mr. Arun Kumar Garg, CEO, on behalf of NVVN after the cordial meeting involving officials from MoP, MEA, CEA, POSOCO, NVVN, NEA and New Delhi-based Nepali Embassy.
