Newly appointed Minister for Energy Mahendra Bahadur Shahi says he will not let load shedding recur.

Appreciating works done by his predecessor and his own party comrade, Janardan Sharma, the Maoist leader says, “Sharma did a commendable job in power management. I will continue that.”

“But, managing is not enough. We also need to increase the production. I have planned to bring foreign investment to up the production.”

Meanwhile, Shahi says he will expose activities of mafias and commission agents in the electricity management sector.

He says he will also prioritise controlling power theft and launching online service to collect power tariff.
