More dark hours‚ 56 hours without electricity in a week

    November 28, 2012,KATHMANDU: Nepal Electricity Authority has increased load-shedding hours to 56 hours per week from 46 hours, effective from Wednesday.
    NEA said water level at the all-important Kulekhani dam has reached below normal for this time of the year.
    “Electricity production has reduced due to decreasing water currents in the rivers,”Load Dispatch Unit Chief of the NEA Bhuwan Kumar Chhetri said .It is also said that amount of power imported from India has also been cut.
