Kathmandu, 8 October 2022. A tower of Lamhi-Ghorahi 132 KV transmission line of Dang collapsed due to a landslide that occurred with incessant rain. The landslide on Friday brought down tower No. 18 at Beldamar, Lamhi Municipality-6, under the Lamhi-Ghorahi 132 KV transmission line.

After the transmission line collapsed, the power supply in that area was interrupted. The authority has now made an alternative arrangement and electricity has been given to household customers. The authority has provided power supply to the household customers of Lamhi, Ghorahi and other areas through 33 KV transmission line from Hapure substation. There are cement industries operating in that area which consume a lot of electricity.

After the collapse of the tower of Lamhi-Ghorahi 132 KV transmission line, the authority will connect the tower under Emergency Restoration System (ERS) and provide power supply. A team has been deputed to survey for the connection of the ERS tower. It will take a few days to install the tower.
