KATHMANDU: Sugar industries have said they can contribute 40 megawatt electricity to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) annually.
At a meeting held among Minister of Industry Mahesh Basnet, representatives from the Ministry of Energy and NEA, representatives from Nepal Sugar Producers Association proposed to generate the electricity.
At the meeting Minister Basnet assured sugar producers of amending the Electricity Act to facilitate the process.
