United Modi Hydropower Company is preparing to develop a 10.5-MW Lower Modi Khola II hydropower project in the Modi Stream, which is also known as the energy river of Nepal for presence of a number of hydels.
The company is currently operating the 10-MW Lower Modi Khola hydropower project. The company has conducted EIA, geological study and other preparatory technical works.
United Modi Hydropower Company is issuing shares of Modi Khola II hydel to public by mid-September or by the first week of Asoj (around September 17-24).
Upendra Gautam, a director of the company, said they are preparing to issue the company’s shares. He said they will issue shares to the public by the last week of Bhadra (around mid-September) or the first week of Asoj (around September 17-24).
Preparations are afoot to issue shares worth around Rs 110 million in the name of United Modi Hydropower.
The project’s dam will be built at Chuwa and the powerhouse will be built at Modi beni. With this project, Modi will have five hydropower projects.
