PPA Signed for 8 MW Tandi Ghyamphedi Hydropower Project

The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) of the 8 MW Tandi Ghyamphedi  Hydroelectric Project promoted by ABP Energy Pvt Ltd has been completed. The PPA was signed between the representatives of Nepal Electricity Authority and ABP Energy on Monday.

Purnalal Shrestha, the company’s president, informed that the directors of this project include Balram Khatiwada, the general secretary of IPPAN, and information technology expert Asghar Ali. The proposed hydropower project will be constructed in Dupcheswar Rural Municipality-1 Tandi of Nuwakot.

All types of studies for this project have been completed. The detailed study report (DPR) of this hydropower project was prepared in Baisakh 2080. It is a project with an installed capacity of 8 MW.

The gross head of the proposed hydroelectric project is 446 meters. 2281.36 meters of headrace pipe will be laid for this hydropower project. 1632.08 meter penstock pipe will be constructed . The produced electricity will be connected to Samundratar substation by constructing a 10 km transmission line of 33 kV single circuit.

The cost of this hydroelectric project is 205 million rupees. It is planned to start the construction from the next October 29th. Commercial production is targeted at the end of May 2084.
