Notice Issued for Land Acquisition of Trishuli–3B Ratmate–Galchhi 220 kV Transmission Project

Nuwakot: It has been announced that the land acquisition process required for the Trishuli–3B Ratmate–Galchhi 220 kV transmission line project, which is being constructed under joint investment of the Government of Nepal and the Nepal Electricity Authority, has begun.

The Nuwakot District Administration Office, through a public notice issued on February 7, stated that the transmission line is being constructed in Nuwakot and Dhading districts under the joint investment of the Government of Nepal and the Nepal Electricity Authority with the objective of providing reliable and quality electricity services.

According to the administration, land required for the construction of transmission line towers under the project will be permanently acquired.

According to the notice published by the administration, the notice has been issued in accordance with Sections 9, 10, and 11 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1977. The administration has requested affected landowners and concerned stakeholders to submit applications related to claims of rights within 15 days from the date of publication of the notice.

As per the administration, landowners must submit applications in the prescribed manner, attaching proof of ownership or possession, necessary documents, and a revenue stamp worth NPR 10. A warning has been issued that if applications are not submitted within the stipulated time, the process will proceed in accordance with the law.

The administration has stated that it expects cooperation from local residents and concerned bodies to complete the project on time. The notice also mentions that further information regarding the project can be obtained by
contacting the concerned office.
