
Parsa: Nepal Electricity Authority has begun the process of permanently acquiring the land required for the Hetauda–Parwanipur–Pokhariya 132 kV transmission line project.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, the Parsa District Administration Office stated that, according to the decision of the Council of Ministers on 28 January 2020, the land necessary for the project will be acquired, and the compensation amount for the respective lands has also been determined.
According to the notice, landowners whose guthi (trust) land is to be acquired must submit an application along with their land ownership certificate, tax receipt, a copy of citizenship, and a Rs. 10 stamp.
The concerned individuals can contact the Nepal Electricity Authority, Site Office, Biring, Baspakan, Parsa for further arrangements.
Objections to the list can be submitted within 15 days from the date of publication; if no objection is filed within the specified time, the process will proceed according to the law.
Due to the project, many landowners in Pokhariya Municipality, Jagarnathpur Rural Municipality, and surrounding areas are affected. The notice also includes details such as tower number, landowner’s name, plot number, area, and whether the acquisition is full or partial.
This project has been initiated with the aim of expanding the electricity transmission network, strengthening supply, and providing reliable energy to industrial areas. The administration has urged all landowners to contact them within the stipulated time.
