A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for Kasuwa Khola Hydropower Project has been signed between power developer Kasuwa Khola Hydropower Ltd. and Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).This is a daily peaking ROR project with 517 m gross head and 87.39 sq.km cathment area.
As per the agreement, per unit electricity is sold for Rs 8.40 during winter and Rs 4.80 during monsoon season. 45 MW Kasuwa Khola Hydropower Project based at Makalu Gaunpalika, Sankhuwasabha will start soon after the completion of access road.
The project is expected to generate the power within Seven years. The company signed Memorandum of understanding for Grid Connection with Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) on 2nd Ashwin, 2074 (18th September, 2017).
Kasuwa Khola Hydropower project in Sankhuwasabha District and owns its electricity generation license. The project is located in Makalu Gaupalika, of Sankhuwasabha District. Its registered office is located at Tripureshwor -11, Bluestar Complex, Kathmandu, Nepal. CEDB Hydro Fund Limited (CHF) holds sole ownership in the company.
