DAMAULI: At a time the country is reeling under long hours of power cuts, the Marsyangdi Hydroelectricity Project has reduced its production by 34 Megawatts on it full power-generation capacity.
The Marsyangdi Project powerhouse had to reduce its production owing to the reduced water level in the river. The powerhouse cut down on its production since the middle of February. The total generation capacity of the project is 69 Megawatts.
The powerhouse is generating only 35 Megawatts of power these days after the fall in the water level in the Marsyangdi River, said Chandra Shekhar Chaudhary, Chief of the Power Generation Division of the project.

मर्स्याङ्दी जलविद्युत्गृहको क्षमताभन्दा ३४ मेघावाट विद्युत् उत्पादन कम
दमौली, फागुन ३ – नदीमा पानीको बहाव कम हुँदै गएपछि मर्स्याङ्दी जलविद्युत्गृहले आफ्नो उत्पादन क्षमताभन्दा ३४ मेघावाट कम विद्युत् उत्पादन गरेको छ। कूल ६९ मेघावाट क्षमताको सो विद्युत्गृहले माघको अन्तिम साताबाट ३५ मेघावाट विद्युत् उत्पादन गरिरहेको छ।
मर्स्याङदी नदीमा पानीको बहाव कम भएपछि अहिले ३५ मेघावाट मात्रै विद्युत् उत्पादन गरिरहेको महाशाखाका प्रमुख चन्द्रशेखर चौधरीले बताए । युनिट नं. १, २, ३ बाट उक्त विद्युत् उत्पादन भएको जानकारी उनले दिए ।
आवश्यक परेको खण्डमा एक/दुई घन्टाका लागि भने ६९ मेघावाट नै विद्युत् उत्पादन हुने कार्यालयका प्राविधिकको दाबी छ। चैतदेखि हिउँ पग्लिन थालेपछि विद्युत् उत्पादन बढ्ने भनाइ ती प्राविधिकहरुको छ।
