Jeebachh Mandal Appointed Director General of Department of Electricity Development in Nepal

Kathmandu. Jeebachh Mandal has been appointed as Director General of Department of Electricity Development. The responsibility was assigned to him on Monday (January 22) by the ministerial decision of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation.

Earlier, Chiranjeevi Chatout, who was the director general, has been transferred to the ministry, and the responsibility has been assigned to the deputy director general of the department.

Mandal entered government service as an engineer in the department in November 1996 and was promoted to joint secretary in January 2014. He also serve as Programme Leader (Energy Trade) at SAARC Energy Centre, Islamabad

He has completed his graduation in Electrical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University and Masters in Hydroelectric Engg and Management from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, India under the Colombo Plan.
