Upper Tamakoshi Generates Revenue of Rs 3.7 Billion Selling Electricity in 3 Months

Dolakha, Nov 27: The Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project, of Lama Bagar, Bigu Rural Municipality–1 in Dolakha has sold electricity of around Rs 4 billion in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.

In the first quarter of the current fiscal year, the National Pride project of 456 MW capacity earned Rs 3, 715,847, 758. With this, within the last three months, this national pride project has made a profit of slightly over a billion rupees.

The first quarter of the current fiscal year 2080/81, published by the project on November 19 showed this.

As per the financial report, the investment of Rs 3,561,782,000, has made a profit of Rs 797,726,569 by selling electricity in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. This is 26.26 percent less than the current.

The project has been producing electricity for business purposes since September 11 of this year. Rs 7 billion profit was made last year.

Even though the project is making a profit by selling electricity shares of the project are pretty shaken up. The shares of Tamakoshi are being traded at 193 per share in the market.
