KATHMANDU, Feb 2: Tanahun Hydropower Ltd has shortlisted five contracting firms for its civil works.
Publishing a notice on Wednesday, the developer of 140 MW hydropower project in Tanahun said Jaypee Group/Jaiprakash Associates Limited, India, Song Da Corporation/Kalika Construction Private Joint Venture, Vietnam/Nepal, Hindustan Construction Company Ltd/Dogus INSAAT VE TCARET AS Integrated Joint Venture, India/Turkey, China Gezhouba Group Company (CGGC) Limited China, Cooperativa Muratori and Cemntisti CMC di Ravenna Societa Cooperativa, Italy have been found eligible to bid for head works of the project.
These firms will now have to submit technical and financial proposals by May 3.
CGGC is building Chameliya and Upper Trishuli 3A hydropower projects, while CMC is digging tunnel of Melamchi Water Supply Project and doing head works of the same project.
Asian Development Bank and European Investment Bank, among others, are financing the project.
