A supplementary Power Purchase Agreement has been conducted at New Delhi on May 27, 2017. It is an extension to the existing power purchase agreement between NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam ( NVVN ) and NEA under the same commercial terms and conditions for the period from June 1, 2017 to August 31, 2017.
The term of the PPA would have been expired on May 31, 2017 if there had been no extension. As per this extended agreement, the power transfer to Nepal through Dhalkebar-Mujaffarpur transmission line shall continue to be up to 160 MW.
