SMEC has been awarded the Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract for the US$8.1M Rasuwagadhi Hydroelectric Project in Nepal.
With a capacity of 111MW, the Rasuwagadhi project is located in Rasuwa District, approximately 150km north of Kathmandu. The project is being implemented under two packages: package one includes civil and hydro-mechanical works under an EPC model; and package two which includes electro-mechanical works under a plant and design build model.
SMEC’s services include: review of the detailed project report and bidding documents including specifications and drawings for civil, hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical works; evaluation of technical and financial proposals for selection of contractors; review of final contractor designs; and construction supervision.
