Kathmandu — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that there will be no exemption on the payment of dues for ‘dedicated’ and ‘trunkline’ connections. Speaking at the House of Representatives on Thursday, Prime Minister Oli emphasized that there will be no concessions given on the collection of electricity charges.

I want to make it clear that no discount will be given in the matter of charging any amount of electricity used anywhere,” he said, “There may be a little reason or no reason, but the way the electricity was cut in an inappropriate manner, the electricity production given to the industry was reduced, the workers stayed like that . After there was no production, there was no supply.’

Prime Minister Oli has said that he will recover the arrears by running the industry. “We collect arrears, we don’t leave them, but by closing the industry and not running it, it is not that the arrears will be collected by closing the industry, which is wrong,” he said. The employment of those employed there ceases. Production decreases. Trade deficit increases. Shouldn’t we pay attention to all these things?’

Recently, even though the Nepal Electricity Authority reconnected electricity under government pressure, Prime Minister Oli stated that the government had only provided suggestions. “There are rumors circulating that there is a disagreement between the government and the Electricity Authority, but there is no such disagreement,” he said. “The government merely suggested that the Authority could consider doing this. They made the decision themselves and reconnected the lines on their own. The government did not go and reconnect the lines.
