Power Outage Expected in Key Areas of Kathmandu City this Saturday

Kathmandu — The Nepal Electricity Authority has announced a power outage in various locations of Kathmandu on Saturday morning. As per the authority, due to the upgrading of the transformer capacity to 45 MVA at the Teku Substation, power supply has started to be disrupted in various locations of Kathmandu.

Electricity supply will be disrupted from the mentioned substation to areas including the Health Department premises, Bhimsensthan, Ramghat, Maruhitī, Dhokatole,  chhetrapati Chowk, Dhalku, Brhamatol, Jaisidewal Chowk.

Similarly, Jyabahal, Chikamangal, Jhochhen, Om Bahal, Bhote Bahal Yangal, Lagan, Mahaboudha, Bhotahiti, Ason, Bangemuda, Indrachowk, Sundhara, Central jail, in front of Rangashala, Newroad, Basantapur Durbar Square, Rabibhawan, Soltimod, Sunargaon, Army Hospital, Nakkhu Chowk, Bagdol, Dhobidhara, Malpokhari, Dhobighat, and surrounding areas.

The authority has issued a notice today apologizing for the inconvenience caused to consumers due to the information provided that power supply will be disrupted from Saturday morning at 9 am until 1 pm.
