KAVRE: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said social sites have eroded democratic fabrics in the country.
Addressing first municipal assembly of Panauti Municipality of Kavrepalanchowk on Friday, Chairman Oli said, “Social network is somehow used by educated people. But the users cannot be considered educated while going through their expression in social sites.”
On a different note, he said that there was a need for practical exercise to strengthen democracy at local-level.
Moreover, the former Prime Minister Oli said that new local-level leadership should play effective role for the development of Panauti as there were immense potentiality in different sectors including hydropower and tourism.
On the occasion, Mayor of Panauti Municipality Bhim Gautam shed light on the development of other sectors of Panauti including tourism.
