Commercial Operation of Midim Khola Hydropower project (3 MW) developed by Union Hydropower Limited started from Magh 15, 2074 (2 Feb 2018) after successful completion of trial generation of the plant, being connected to the National Grid of Nepal Electricity Authority. The 3MW power project is being developed on the border of Nalma and Karapu villages in the west of Lamjung.
After commission of Midim private sector have reached 69 (483 MW) and NEA hydro has reached 508 MW with Chameliya. Nepal´s total hydro generation is 991 MW . In this fiscal year 9 IPP projects with total installed capacity of 42 MW have been added to system.
