Lalupate Hydropower Chairman Dangi Hands Over Tracksuits to School Students

Manang, Aug. 23: Lalupate Hydropower Company has distributed tracksuits to all students studying at Prakash Jyoti Secondary School in Nason Rural Municipality-5, Manang.

The tracksuits were provided under the corporate social responsibility (CSR) program of the company promoting the 49.95 MW Dana Khola Hydropower Project, which is currently under construction in Nason Rural Municipality-2. The support was extended to students of a school located in the project-affected area.

The tracksuits were distributed during a special program organized at the school by Mohan Kumar Dangi, Chairman of Lalupate Hydropower Company and President of the Independent Power Producers’ Association, Nepal (IPPAN).

Speaking at the event, school principal Padmaraj Pant expressed gratitude to the project developer for its support to the school and its students.

Similarly, Dharmajang Gurung, Ward Chairperson of Nason Rural Municipality-4 and Coordinator of the Rural Municipality’s Social Development Committee, praised the company’s contribution to the local community and the education sector.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman Dangi said hydropower developers contribute not only to energy production but also to the development and prosperity of local communities.

“A project developer does not only build a hydropower project in remote areas. It also contributes to education, healthcare, and infrastructure development in the local community. Such efforts support the country’s journey toward prosperity,” he said.

The program was chaired by Raju Gurung, Chairperson of the School Management Committee. Among those present were Ward Chairperson of Nason Rural Municipality-4 and Social Development Committee Coordinator Dharmajang Gurung, Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 5 Thuten Lama, Nason Site Office Administration Head of the developer company Nabin Khatiwada, Security In-charge Chok Bahadur Gurung, Assistant Public Relations Officer Arjun Gurung, and other representatives.
