
Kathmandu — India has approved the purchase of an additional 80 megawatts of electricity. Approval has been granted to export power from the 48.5 MW Mewa Khola and the 31.04 MW Karuwa Seti hydropower projects.
During the monsoon season, Nepal has been selling electricity, while in the dry season, it has been importing from India. Along with India, Nepal has also been exporting 40 megawatts of electricity to Bangladesh.
