KATHMANDU, Aug 3: Motorists will have to pay more for fuel from Monday after the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) raised the prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene and aviation turbine fuel (ATF), while leaving the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) unchanged.
The revised rates came into effect at 12:01 am on Monday, the state-owned fuel supplier said.
Under the new pricing, petrol has become Rs 3 per liter more expensive, while the prices of diesel and kerosene have been increased by Rs 5 per liter each.
The NOC has also raised the price of aviation turbine fuel by Rs 20 per liter for domestic flights and by US$131 per kiloliter for international flights.
According to the corporation, the latest price adjustment follows revised fuel procurement rates sent by the Indian Oil Corporation on July 31, 2026. The new purchase prices show an increase of Rs 20.19 per liter for petrol, Rs 39.67 per liter for diesel and Rs 19.06 per liter for aviation fuel.
Before the latest revision, petrol was priced at Rs 197 per liter, while diesel and kerosene cost Rs 195 per liter.
