Kathmandu, March 21,2015: The financial management agreement was inked here Friday to develop the Phalakhukhola Hydropower Project of 13.7 megawatt to be promoted by the Betrabati Hydroelectric Company.Sunrise Bank, Laxmi Bank, Janata Bank, NCC Bank and Prabhu Bank under the leadership of Bank of Kathmandu would invest Rs 1.75 billion as per the agreement.
The project would be located at Yarsa and Sarmathali VDCs in Rasuwa district. The total cost of the project is estimated Rs 2.40 billion, chairman of company Dineshbhakta Shrestha said. It is said that the promoters would manage Rs 650 million for the project development.
According to Shrestha, the power generated from the project would be linked to the national grid through the 132 KV Single Circuit Line.The project is expected to generate power in 30 months from the beginning of the construction.
