Upper Tamakoshi Turns Profitable, Posts Rs 92.59 Million Net Profit

Kathmandu – Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited has published its unaudited financial statements for the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year 2025/26.

According to the published details, the company, which had posted a net loss of around Rs 3.68 billion in fiscal year 2081/82, earned a net profit of Rs 925.9 million by the end of Ashadh in the review year.

During the review period, the company’s revenue from electricity sales increased by 19.55 percent to Rs 10.6688 billion, compared with Rs 6.9237 billion in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

During the same period, the company’s finance income declined from Rs 24.4 million to Rs 13.9 million. The company earned other income of Rs 2.859 million during the period.

The company has a paid-up capital of Rs 21.18 billion, while retained earnings stood at negative Rs 12.63 billion. The company’s earnings per share (EPS), which was negative Rs 17.38 in the previous fiscal year, turned positive at Rs 4.37 during the review period. Similarly, its net worth per share stood at Rs 44.48, total assets per share at Rs 382.17, and the liquidity ratio at 1.31 percent.
