KATHMANDU, March 3: Electricity supply will be temporarily halted in certain areas of Kathmandu today as well.
Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Maharajganj Distribution Center is going to shut down the service for four hours to facilitate the undergrounding of electric lines.
According to the NEA, electricity service will be interrupted from 10AM to 2PM in the area of the Office of the Prime Minister, Tundal Devi in Lazimpat from Everest Bank.
Similarly, the service will be temporarily halted from Golfutar petrol pump to Basundhara, and on March 5, from Golfutar to HAMS Hospital on March 4, NEA said.
The NEA said that the electricity supply will not be affected for such an extended period if there will be adverse weather conditions to work on undergrounding of electric lines.
