PM – Norwegian delegation meeting

    Norway NepalPrime Minister and a Norwegian delegation have held talks on investments in the hydropower sector at the Prime Minister’s residence at Baluwatar today.

    The Norwegian delegation is led by Tima Lyer Utne, senior vice-president of the Norwegian International Hydropower Sector looking after southeast.

    During the meeting, the delegation inquired with Prime Minister Koirala for investing in Nepal. It expressed the view that although there is immense possibilities in the energy and allied sectors in Nepal, environment conducive to investment in the sector was yet to be created.

    Prime Minister Koirala, however, urged for investment without any qualms as the country was moving towards peace and stability following the second Constituent Assembly election.

    Norwegian Ambassador to Nepal, Kjell Tormod Pettersen, and General Manager of Himal Power Limited Tom Christian Larson and Director Sandip Shah were also present on the occasion.
